BBC4 have very recently broadcasted the documentary Monsoon Railway, which “traces the amazing stories of some of the 1.5 million people who work for the world’s greatest railway.”
We meet many of the children that live on platforms across the country. Some of these children are receiving support form organisations started by the railway’s employees. One child is taken to a support home run by Future Hope of Kolkata, an organisation that PWB will be working with.
